Don’t mail those ballots

If you haven’t turned in your ballot for today’s election, don’t risk mailing it, advises the county Auditor’s Office. Use one of the dropboxes, which are open until 8 p.m. (If you haven’t looked at your ballot, it’s embiggened.) Herald election-related articles here.

You know those people who are little too touchy for your comfort? Oxford University researchers had 1,500 people color diagrams of a human body indicating what areas of their body they were comfortable with various people touching. Men and women had wildly different diagrams, especially when it came to strangers of the opposite sex.

Wake up behind the wheel

Between 2012 and October 2015, more than 4,700 vehicle collisions were investigated in Washington state where the driver either fell asleep, was fatigued or both behind the wheel. To remind folks driving drowsy is as dangerous as driving drunk, it’s Drowsy Driving Prevention Week.
