Voters who waited until Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, to cast their ballots should deliver them to drop boxes at 14 locations across Whatcom County.

Ballots dropped in the mail on Tuesday may not be postmarked in time to be counted, the county auditor said.

Drop boxes are open until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Locations are online at whatcomcounty.us/1863/Ballot-Drop-Box-Locations.

Whatcom voters are considering whether to raise the sales tax to pay for a new jail, and whether to opt for term limits and district-only voting for certain county officials, among other measures. Contested offices on the ballot include county executive and two county council members, a Port of Bellingham commissioner, a Bellingham School Board position and Ferndale mayor.

More information is in the county voters pamphlet, online at whatcomcounty.us/DocumentCenter/View/12912.
