VIS Seafoods recalls salmon
VIS, which has a store on James Street in Bellingham, has recalled some canned salmon and smoked salmon over botulism concerns. The business has become part of a growing recall that all traces back to Skipanon Brand Seafoods that possibly underprocessed the fish that ended up being used by multiple companies. The recall has spread to many canned fish products from various producers (not Bumble Bee or Starkist though); consumers concerned if their items are affected can check the list of latest FDA recalls.
