More than 25 volunteers are needed to help staff the Bellingham shelters, which open during the coldest nights of the year.

The women’s and children’s shelter is at Garden Street United Methodist Church, 1326 N. Garden St. Attend the training Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. or Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Only female volunteers staff the women’s shelter, but women may join male volunteers at the men’s shelter during the evening and morning shifts.
