Volunteers wanted for Make a Difference Day projects Oct. 24

Help clean the Spark Museum, do trail work, make thank-you cards, plant native trees and shrubs, or deliver furniture to people who have found a home.

Those are among the volunteer opportunities Saturday, Oct. 24, for Make a Difference Day, a national day of volunteerism.

The Volunteer Center of Whatcom County seeks volunteers for a variety of projects across the county. Many projects are family friendly.

The event is part of national Make a Difference Day, which has millions of participants across the country.
