Portion of Main Street in Ferndale will close Tuesday

A portion of Main Street west of the Nooksack River will be closed Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., according to the city.

The planned seven-hour closure is part of a city project to address aging sections of Main Street. Work includes crack sealing.

Workers will block of the westbound lane of Main Street between First and Fourth avenues at 8 a.m. Traffic will be redirected down Alder Street.

The length of the closure was corrected Oct. 20, 2015.
