Multiple fender benders happened along Interstate 5 in Whatcom County Wednesday morning as drivers seemed to forget how to drive in rain and fog. While no injuries were reported, a few people have some explaining to do to their insurance company.

The teeny bikini Princess Leia was forced to wear while enslaved by Jabba the Hutt in “Return of the Jedi” has been sold at auction. The price? A whopping $96,000.
Reading canceled
Poet Wayne Lee’s reading at Village Books, scheduled for 7 p.m . Oct. 7, has been canceled due to a family emergency. Village Books folks say they are hoping to reschedule with him soon. Watch for updates at Villagebooks.com.
Frozen green bean recall
Some packages of Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans are being recalled after one package tested positive for Listeria. The affected packages were distributed nationwide with a “better if used by” date of June 29, 2017.
