No electricity still for some Whatcom residents

Puget Sound Energy was still responding to about 80 separate power outages in Whatcom County as of 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2.

While a few of the outages were from thunderstorms on Wednesday, most happened Saturday during a windstorm. Those affected county residents have been without power since then.

The PSE outage map listed that the utility expected to have electricity restored to those customers by midnight Wednesday. However, PSE already has missed previous estimates of when power would be restored.

Most of the remaining outages affected only a few customers each and were spread throughout the county.

PSE did not return a call Wednesday afternoon seeking an update on the situation.
