Building permit applications can now be submitted online for Bellingham projects.
Bellingham announced this week that it was now ready to begin accepting permit applications and plans online. Plans submitted online are initially reviewed by permit technicians. Once that is complete, the fees are added and customers can pay those online as well, up to $1,500 for each transaction, according to a city news release.
The city is also going live soon with its new TRAKiT system, in which electronic plan review is a critical component, said Rick Sepler, Planning and Community Development director.
In addition to electronic filing, TRAKiT will allow applicants to follow the progress of their permit as it goes through the review process as well as schedule inspections.
