Looking for locally grown berries in Whatcom County? Our county is home to many local farms that offer both U-pick and freshly picked berries, from seasonal strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and more.

Here are some local farms that are currently open, where you can find a variety of berries:

Barbie’s Berries

  • Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries
  • Offers freshly picked berries and U-pick fields at three locations
  • Open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays at 7655 Melody Lane in Ferndale
  • Open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 1750 Front St. in Lynden
  • Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at 6827 Hannegan Road in Everson

Shumway’s Berries

  • Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, tayberries
  • U-pick fields at five locations
  • Open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily
  • Strawberry fields at 6010 Siper Road and 6006 Siper Road in Everson
  • Raspberry fields at 3957 Mt. Baker Highway and 5571 Finsrud Road in Everson
  • Raspberry, blueberry, tayberry and blackberry fields at 7845 Noon Road in Lynden

Bellingham Country Gardens

  • Strawberries, raspberries and vegetables
  • U-pick only
  • Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2838 E. Kelly Road in Bellingham

Check each farms’ website and Facebook pages for the current berry harvest, hours and availability, which change throughout the season.

Retailers and markets like the Bellingham Farmers Market, Haggen, Community Food Co-op and others usually carry berries from local farms.
