One lucky lottery player scored a six-figure prize after winning the Hit 5 cashpot, lottery officials said.

The player matched five white balls in the Thursday, July 2, drawing to win $230,000, according to a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery.

Where was winning Hit 5 ticket sold in Washington state?

The winning Hit 5 ticket was purchased at Tulalip Market, 2832 Northeast 116th St. in Tulalip, according to the Washington’s Lottery spokesperson.

“The retailer will receive a $2,300 selling bonus,” the spokesperson said.

It takes about an hour to drive from the Tulalip convenience store to Bellingham, and an hour and 20 minutes to reach Tacoma.

What were winning Hit 5 numbers?

The winning numbers in Thursday’s Hit 5 drawing were 3, 8, 21, 24 and 42, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.

When is the next Hit 5 drawing?

Hit 5 drawings occur daily at 8 p.m.

The next Hit 5 drawing is 8 p.m. on Monday, July 6

Ticket sales end at 7:45 p.m. for the day’s drawing, and resume at 7:46 p.m. to be counted in the following day’s drawing.

“Cashpots start at $100,000 and keep growing until someone matches all five numbers to win,” Washington’s Lottery said on the Hit 5 website.

As of Monday, July 6, the Hit 5 cashpot was $110,000.

How to play Hit 5 lottery game

The Hit 5 lottery game costs $1 per play, according to Washington’s Lottery.

Players can choose five numbers between 1 and 42 using a playslip or let the system Quick Pick the numbers for them. You can buy tickets for up to 25 consecutive drawings.

The odds of winning the Hit 5 cashpot are one in 851,000.
