UPDATE: Washington State Patrol cancelled the Silver Alert for Daniel Weatherby around 12:30 p.m. Monday. BPD reported on social media that Weatherby was found safe. The original article appears below.

Washington State Patrol has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Bellingham Police Department for a missing vulnerable adult last seen in Bellingham. A Silver Alert is a public notification system used to broadcast information about missing seniors or vulnerable adults with cognitive impairments

Daniel Weatherby, 79, was last seen on foot at the Cordata WTA Station at 7:05 a.m. Monday, according to the Bellingham Police Department. He is 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs 150 pounds and is bald with blue eyes. He was wearing a red-and-black checkered flannel shirt and jeans.

Weatherby does not have a phone and has a medical condition that requires medication. Anyone who sees Weatherby or has relevant information should call 911.
