Foodies rejoice! Downtown Bellingham food festival returns this month
RAD Bites is returning to Bellingham for another year, inviting participants to experience all the flavor downtown has to offer.
“Hungry for something rad? Then get your foodie booty down to Railroad Avenue District (aka RAD) on May 31 to taste some of the next-level flavors the block has to offer! Cruise the Ave for a self-guided food + drink tour while enjoying small bites from a dozen RAD restaurants,” the Rad Bites website states.
The food festival runs from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 31, across restaurants and eateries in downtown’s Railroad Avenue District.
Fifteen participating restaurants are offering special bite-size tastings with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, including mini burger bites and hot honey mojos at Fiamma Burger, Dubai chocolate waffle bites at Sweet As Waffles, Kalua pork sliders and lemonade at Just Poke, and tofu katsu bites with plum sauce and pickles at Gruff Brewing.
Other participating restaurants include Fiamma Pizza, Pye Hole, ‘Ono Kitchen + Bar, The Horseshoe Cafe, Little Cheerful Cafe, Wonderland Herbs, Teas & Spices, AB Crepes, Avenue Bread, The Bagelry, Mallard Ice Cream and Sweet Art Chocolates.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance. They cost $16.37, including tax, for adults or $5.46 for children ages 12 and under.
