Cannabis fans’ favorite holiday is just around the corner.
Monday is April 20, also known as 4/20.
In 1971, a group of friends in San Francisco coined the term 420 in reference to their plans to meet at 4:20 p.m. and visit a local weed garden, McClatchy Media previously reported.
In Bellingham, dispensaries and restaurants are celebrating the holiday with special deals and discounts.

In the Bellingham area, a number of cannabis dispensaries are holding sales or offering holiday-specific prices.
Cascade Herb Company
Where: 1240 East Maple St., Suite No. 103, in Bellingham and 6167 Portal Way in Ferndale
What: Both Cascade Herb Company locations will have buy-one, get-one-half-off deals storewide on Monday, April 20. Door buster specials are also planned.

What: Western Bud will have various doorbuster sales on Monday, dispensary employee Malik Moore told The Bellingham Herald. Select items will be up to 50% off that day.

What: Trove Cannabis will hold a sale on Monday, according to employee Candice Berkley.

What: On Monday, Caravan Cannabis Company will have several brand-specific deals, store employee Keri Larson said. These include special prices for select Buddy’s, Blaze, Experience Organics, Roz and Wyld products. In addition, all merchanise will be 30% off.

Where: 100 East Maple St. in Bellingham
What: All online orders at Peace of Mind Cannabis are 30% off throughout the month of April, according to employee Morgan Heimann. In addition, 10 brands sold in store will be 40% off and the entire store will be 30% off until Monday. There will be more deals on Monday specifically, Heimann said.

What Bellingham restaurants offer 4/20 discounts?
Got the munchies? At least two Bellingham restaurants will offer special 4/20 deals on Monday.
AB Crêpes
Where: 1311 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham
What: To celebrate 4/20 and the restaurant’s 12th anniversary, all crêpes at AB Crepes will be 50% all day on Monday, April 20, according to employee Asher Price.

Where: 306 West Holly St. in Bellingham
What: On Monday, all 4-inch-long Nugs submarine sandwiches cost $4.20 apiece at Cheba Hut, employee Cal Kirkham told The Herald. In addition, all subs will be served on limited-edition Frisbees featuring a psychedelic design and the chain’s mascot, Munchie.
