Several Whatcom County roads remain flooded and/or closed. Here’s the latest
Roads have flooded across Whatcom County, and officials have closed several for safety reasons following heavy rain.
According to the Whatcom County Public Works, more than 30 roads are either closed or have water on the roadway. Hannegan Road was closed Friday outside of Lynden, but officials were able to reopen the major road over the weekend.
The Public Works Department has published a list of affected roads: The list has been most recently updated at 8 a.m. March 24.

- Beebe Road east of State Route 539
- Bylsma Road from Polinder to East Wiser Lake Road
- Ferndale Road north of Marine Drive
- Gillies Road at the Nooksack city limits — south of Alm Road
- Lampman at South Church Road
- Marine Drive from Country Lane to Bayon
- Marine Drive from Hoff Road to Country Lane
- Marine Drive from Ferndale Road to Lummi Shore Drive. The floodgates are closed at Marine Drive and Ferndale Road.
