Popular Whatcom County restaurant group adding a fourth location in Ferndale
Bordertown Mexican Grill, a locally owned restaurant with three locations across Whatcom County, is adding a fourth location to its lineup in a new city.
The family-owned restaurant started as a food stand in Blaine and has kept customers coming back for its supreme burritos, huevos rancheros, mango tacos, pork chile verde burritos, birria, tortas and more.
The restaurant currently has three locations across Blaine, Lynden and downtown Bellingham, and announced that it will be opening a new location in Ferndale, according to a social media post on Thursday, March 19.
“Next Stop: Ferndale, WA. Bordertown’s next chapter starts NOW,” the post’s caption states.
The new location is teased in the video to be near the corner of Portal Way and McKinley St., where new retail buildings and apartments are currently being built.
No opening date has been announced.
Bordertown Mexican Grill’s three locations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at 538 Peace Portal Dr. in Blaine, 1055 N State St. in downtown Bellingham and 215 E Main St. in Lynden.
