3 Powerball tickets win big in Western Washington. Here’s where they were sold

Three Powerball tickets sold in Western Washington missed the jackpot but still won big, according to lottery officials.

The Powerball players each won $50,000 by matching four white balls and the red Powerball in the drawing on Monday, Dec. 22, according to a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery and the national Powerball website.

Where were winning Powerball tickets sold in Washington?

One of the lucky Powerball tickets was purchased at a Jacksons Food Stores location at 3432 Southeast 132nd St. in Mill Creek, the Washington’s Lottery spokesperson said.

It takes about an hour and 14 minutes to drive from Bellingham to Mill Creek.

The other winning Powerball tickets were bought at 7-Eleven convenience stores at 13335 Northeast 100th Ave. in Kirkland and 18012 South 68th Ave. in Kent according to the lottery spokesperson.

Kent is about a half-hour from Tacoma by car, while it takes roughly an hour to drive to Kirkland.

What were winning Powerball numbers?

The winning numbers in Monday’s Powerball drawing were 3, 18, 36, 41 and 54 with a Powerball of 7, according to the national Powerball website.

No one took home the grand prize, lottery officials said, but a total of nine players in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin won $1 million each.

What’s the Powerball jackpot up to now?

As of Tuesday, Dec. 23, the Powerball jackpot was estimated at $1.7 billion, with a cash value of $781.3 million.

When is the next Powerball drawing?

The next Powerball drawing is on Christmas Eve — Wednesday, Dec. 24 — at 7:59 p.m.

What to know about Powerball Lottery Game

Powerball tickets are sold in 45 U.S. states and Washington D.C, as well as Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands.

Players may choose their own numbers or have them randomly selected.

“The jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball,” the national Powerball website said, noting that “the Powerball jackpot grows until it is won.”

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292,201,338, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.
