A Bellingham woman died from injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle in Skagit County.

Brandy R. Allen, 44, was crossing the North Cascades Highway in Sedro-Woolley on a bicycle when a vehicle traveling northbound on Sterling Road made a left turn, westbound, onto the highway and struck Allen, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The incident occurred at 7:56 p.m. Sept. 21.

Allen was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She died Sept. 24, according to the King County Medical Examiner.

WSP initially reported the incident in September but did not revise its report to include that the collision was fatal until December, when it reissued the report.
