Update: WSP cancels MIPA alert for man reported missing in Bellingham

UPDATE (Aug. 8): The alert was cancelled Friday morning, along with notification that Nathan had been located. No other information was provided. The original story is below.

The Washington State Patrol on Wednesday issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert (MIPA) for Roy Nathan, 71, on behalf of the Bellingham Police Department.

According to the alert, Nathan was last seen walking away from St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham on Sunday, Aug. 3. He was wearing sweat pants and a shirt of unknown color at the time.

Nathan is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding his location is asked to call 911. The case number is 25B45823.
