Drivers who use Loomis Trail Road near Portal Way south of Blaine should prepare for a two-week detour starting Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Beginning at 6 a.m., crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin realigning the road just west of Portal Way to make room for a BNSF railroad track project.
A signed detour via Birch Bay-Lynden Road will be in place during the closure. Work is scheduled to be finished by Monday, Aug. 24.
