Fred Meyer gas station on Lakeway Drive to close for a few days

The Lakeway Fred Meyer gas station will be closed for a few days as several new fueling pumps are added.

The gas station at 918 Lakeway Drive will close at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10 and reopen on Friday afternoon, Aug. 14, according to signs posted at the fueling center. It’s part of the plan to expand the gas station after a nearby building was recently demolished.

According to plans submitted to the city, Fred Meyer will put in six additional fueling islands, meaning 12 more cars can fuel up at a time. The plans also include changes to the entrance area from Lakeway to improve traffic flow.
