A parade honoring Lummi Nation School’s Blackhawks — class 1B boys 2025 state basketball champions — and state qualifiers the Lady Blackhawks is planned for Thursday, March 13.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. at Northwest Indian College, 2522 Kwina Road.

It will proceed west on Kwina Road to the Lummi Indian Business Council building, according to a news release from Pyramid Communication, the Tribe’s public relations firm.

The Blackhawks defeated top-seeded Almira-Coulee-Hartline 53-50 Saturday to earn the school’s second state championship — the first in 10 years.

The Lady Blackhawks were the No. 9 seed at the state tournament in Spokane. They defeated Muckleshoot Tribal before falling to Pateros in the round of 12 on Wednesday.
