Musician, composer and recording artist Scott Cossu’s background in jazz and rhythm and blues, combined with his years of classical training and his study of ethnic music from Sudan, Thailand, China, Rumania and Ecuador result in music that has been performed in concerts worldwide and recorded since 1981. Proceeds benefit Bellingham Food Bank.

Community Hymn Sing and Ice Cream Social

Golf Fore! Good

9 a.m., Shuksan Golf Course, 1500 E. Axton Road, $125; $500 per team of four 360-398-8888 The Opportunity Council hosts the annual Golf FORE!, a fund-raising tournament to raise support for local young children who have special needs, are homeless or otherwise disadvantaged.

Bingo Blitz

5:30-8:30 p.m., Bellingham Senior Activity Center, 315 Halleck St. $15 The annual Bingo Blitz is open to anyone in the community age 21 and older. Admission includes bingo sheets for all eight regular games, snacks, plus wine with a $2 suggested donation. In addition to eight regular games with a $30 payout, everyone will have an opportunity to purchase cards at $2 each for a “special bingo” where the winner will take home half the pot.
