Tractor Supply Co. to open Saturday in Lynden
Tractor Supply Company will be opening the doors of its latest store at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in a long-vacant building that once housed a Cost Cutter grocery store.
The business, which has been renovating the building since May, will focus on supplying the needs of farmers and ranchers, as well as small businesses. Merchandise includes equipment for horses, livestock and pets. It also will have tools and towing products as well as lawn and garden items.
A grand opening celebration is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 15. Special activities and giveaways for the event are still being finalized, spokesman Rob Hoskins said in an email.
The store’s 1898 Front St. location will occupy about 47,900 square feet and will employ approximately 15 people full and part time. Tractor Supply Company has more than 1,400 stores in 49 states, and the Lynden store will be the 26th in Washington state.
