UPDATE (Jan. 17): Our reader forum scheduled for Jan. 17 has been rescheduled due to the weather and the subsequent closure of the Bellingham Public Library. The event will take place at the same venue — the Lecture Room at the library’s downtown branch — from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21.

*********

The Bellingham Herald is preparing to make a major change starting Jan. 29, when we shift from a six-day-a-week print publishing schedule to two days a week. We will continue to provide you with up-to-the-minute local news on our digital platforms.

We know it’s an adjustment for you — and it is for us, too — and we know you have questions.

So, we’d like to invite you — our loyal subscribers — to an in-person discussion about this important transition. We are hosting a Q&A session on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bellingham Public Library, 210 Central Ave., in downtown Bellingham.

Join us at this free event and meet our new Senior Editor Scot Heisel and members of our newsroom team.

We’ll give you the rundown on our dynamic eEdition and all our digital platforms and you can ask your questions and get any technical help you need to customize your reader experience.

We will have a customer service representative on-site to answer your questions and help you take advantage of your digital subscription.

Admission is free, but please register in advance.
