Bellingham home, vehicles destroyed in weekend fire; cause still under investigation

A Bellingham mobile home was destroyed after it was engulfed in flames over the weekend.

Bellingham Fire Department crews responded to the fire just after 6 a.m. Sunday to Bakerview Estates mobile home community in the 4000 block of Eliza Avenue, where the fire had already fully taken over the home.

The fire spread to a nearby tree and several vehicles before crews were able to extinguish it, according to a social media post made by the Bellingham Fire Department.

There were no reports of injuries as a result of the fire but the home and its contents were completely lost, according to the post.

No other homes in the mobile home community were reported to be damaged by the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
