Changes coming to The Bellingham Herald newspaper delivery
Dear Herald readers,
We want to share with you several changes coming to The Bellingham Herald designed to improve your experience with our print and digital products.
Very soon we will have the option to add the latest news every day to our daily eEdition without the restrictions of an early print deadline. The updated edition will still feature a replica of the daily print paper as well as access to dozens of pages of additional content, from politics to food, business to sports.
All print subscribers have free access to the eEdition, as well as bellinghamherald.com and the Herald app. All you have to do is go to bellinghamherald.com/activate and activate your digital access.
Your eEdition will continue to arrive via email around 5 a.m. each day.
Effective June 26, your daily print edition will be delivered via the U.S. Mail instead of by a local carrier, which will allow us to continue to provide dependable service.
For most of our customers, the weekday papers will continue to arrive on the same day that you receive them now.
Print readers will get their Sunday edition a day early, with the Saturday mail. And that Sunday edition will be expanded.
Don’t worry, your comics and puzzles will still be there, too.
And for readers who want even more stories and to see compelling videos, the print edition will at times include QR codes you can scan with your cell phones or tablets to take you quickly and easily to more content online.
Our newsroom in Bellingham will continue to be the most reliable breaking news source in the region, including the availability of news alerts to your email and phones with information you need to stay safe.
And our weekend print edition will remain a source you can rely on for in-depth stories.
Later today, home delivery subscribers will be sent a personal email (followed by a mailed letter) with specifics about their subscription.
Thank you for your continued support of local journalism.
