Looking to find an extra thousand dollars during Easter weekend?

Bellingham’s massively rewarding Easter Egg Hunt is back with over $10,000 in prizes hidden in plastic eggs, thanks to Bellingham Coin Shop.

The 6th annual, highly rewarding egg hunt will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, across Bellingham.

“Eggs will be hidden with a barcode insert in and around parks, trails, sidewalks, public access areas, schools, WWU, downtown, Barkley Village, in Bellingham and other safe Whatcom County public areas,” Megan Erickson, the marketing manager at Bellingham Coin Shop wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald.

Prizes in the eggs range from valuable coins, $2 bills, silver, gold, $1,000 gift cards and more, adding up to over $10,000 worth of rewards hidden in colorful plastic eggs. About 100 eggs were hidden last year, according to a Facebook post by the coin shop on March 29.

Participants are limited to two eggs per person, and prizes must be redeemed at Bellingham Coin Shop by April 15. There is no age limit for participation.

Bellingham Coin Shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and is at 1806 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham.
