Now, the Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify the owner of a vehicle determined to be in the area of Montague-Ayers’s disappearance. The vehicle was on Balfour Valley Drive around the time she went missing, according to a Facebook post by the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s Office detectives are interested in speaking with the driver of the vehicle to see if they may have seen Montague-Ayers that morning.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Derek Bogle at 360-778-6747.

Montague-Ayers’s family held a prayer vigil for her on Sunday, March 26, in Bellingham. They are offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to finding her.

Montague-Ayers is 5-foot-4 and 125 pounds with silver-colored hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue-patterned wool coat and red, knee-high rubber boots. She is said to have moderate dementia and can become confused.
