It’s that time of year!
This holiday season, The Bellingham Herald is looking for the best, most ugly holiday sweater in Whatcom County!
The ugly Christmas sweater craze started in Vancouver, B.C., in 2002 when two university students found ugly Christmas sweaters and decided to host an ugly Christmas sweater-themed party. Since then, ugly Christmas sweaters have become a theme and dress code for parties, marathons and more.
So pull out your ugly Christmas or holiday sweater, take a photo, and email it to us for a chance to be featured in our ugly holiday sweater competition!
Readers will vote before Christmas, and we will announce the winner of sweater bragging rights!
