A 2.6-magnitude earthquake rattled south of the Whatcom County line just northwest of Sedro-Woolley Tuesday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

As of Wednesday, one person in Skagit County had reported feeling the shaking to the USGS, and a total of 148 reports had been submitted on the “Did You Feel It?” page.

The quake hit at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, according to the USGS, approximately 2.3 miles north-northwest of Sedro-Woolley and 18.8 miles southeast of Bellingham.

The quake was measured 3.2 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface, according to the USGS. There were no reports of damage from the shaking.
