Check Bellingham home rental prices on these interactive charts to save on rent
Bellingham’s 98225 zip area rental costs increased in May, jumping 34% compared to median rental prices in May 2021.
Both 98226 and 98229 zip codes had a drop in rental prices in May, according to RentHub, a rental housing data company. RentHub examines prices from houses, multiplexes and apartments of all bed/bath sizes.
May rents in Bellingham’s 98225 ZIP code averaged $1,850, up from $1,575 in April. Rents in the 98226 ZIP area averaged $1,770, a 7% increase since May 2021. Rent prices in the 98229 zip code averaged $1,595.
The median rental price of one-bedroom apartments in Bellingham, according to a report from Zumper.com, also increased from $1,300 in April to $1,340 in May.
In a comparison of 13 metro cities across Washington, Zumper.com also found that Washington’s one-bedroom median rent was $1,502 in May, and that Bellingham was one of the most affordable metro cities to rent in.
