Whatcom County residents who need to update their voter registration face a Monday, July 6, deadline if they intend to vote in the Aug. 4 primary.
Voters who moved within the county or are registered in another part of the state can update their registration online at myvote.wa.gov. Those who prefer to mail their updated information or provide it in person at the Auditor’s Office also must do so by Monday. Forms are available online at whatcomcounty.us/1728/voters.
Mail forms to P.O. Box 369, Bellingham, WA 98227-0369. The Auditor’s Office is in the county courthouse, 311 Grand. Ave., Bellingham, Suite 103.
Residents who are not registered to vote in Washington state must register in person at the Auditor’s Office by July 27.
This year’s primary ballot includes races for County Council, Port of Bellingham commission, Ferndale mayor and City Council, and Bellingham and Blaine school boards. The top-two vote-getters in each race advance to the Nov. 3 general election.
Also in the primary, South Fork Valley voters will decide on an emergency medical services levy for Fire District 16.
