Washington’s average regular gas price is currently about $3.95 a gallon, rising three cents from last month’s average. A year ago, the state’s gas price average was only $2.88, a price Washington residents haven’t seen in months.
According to a study by the American Automobile Association, the rising prices of gasoline across the country show no signs of slowing down, as the national average for gas has risen eight cents higher in just a week up to $3.44 a gallon.
In Whatcom County, the average gas price has decreased since last month’s average of $3.91, currently standing at $3.89.
