Bellingham Wal-Mart to reduce hours starting June 27

The local Wal-Mart store is changing its hours of operation.

Currently open 24 hours, the store will be closed between midnight and 6 a.m. starting Saturday night, June 27, said Kevin Breen, store manager.

Breen declined to go into detail about what led to the change, except to say they could better serve customers in the 6 a.m. to midnight format.

Wal-Mart arrived in Bellingham in 1994. It is at 4420 Meridian St.
