Whatcom college will celebrate graduates, new rec center at open house
Community members can celebrate Whatcom Community College graduates, tour campus and eat free food at an open house Friday, June 19.
The free barbecue starts at 11 a.m. outside the Heiner Center. There will be a photo booth for graduates, a thank you card station for students to write appreciation notes to faculty and staff, and 92.9 KISM-FM radio will be on site.
Campus tours start at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. They don’t include the nearly completed Pavilion and Student Recreation Center, which has been under construction for one year, though the project is clearly visible on campus.
Advisers will be available for students thinking of enrolling at WCC.
