Bellingham man one of two hospitalized after two cars crash near Swinomish Casino

A Bellingham man was one of two people hospitalized after their car collided with another car on Casino Drive in Skagit County Friday night, July 24, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Two 22-year-old men in a BMW 528 were driving westbound near the Swinomish Casino & Lodge on 12885 Casino Drive in Anacortes around 11:55 p.m. Friday when a 51-year-old man in a 1988 Chevrolet GMT-400 driving eastbound turned in front of them, according to the release.

The 51-year-old man, who was also from Bellingham, was not injured. Drugs and alcohol are suspected to be a factor in the crash.

Both men were taken to a local hospital and their condition is unknown. The accident as well as possible charges towards the Chevrolet driver are under investigation.
