Bellingham police say missing woman located ‘safe and sound’ after she walked away
The Bellingham Police Department tweeted late Wednesday, July 8, that that woman it was searching for had been found.
“We are pleased to report that Heidi Ausfahl was located earlier this evening and is safe and sound,” the tweet made at 11:29 p.m. read. “Thank you to everyone who has been looking for her.”
At 2:42 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, police took to Twitter asking for help in searching for a Ausfahl, who had last been seen in the Roosevelt neighborhood at approximately 5 a.m. after she walked away from the 2700 block of Woburn Street, the tweet made at 2:42 p.m. read.
The 40-year-old woman also was reported missing after she didn’t return from her normal morning walk Thursday, June 11, and was found later that day “safe and sound,” according to a tweet from the Bellingham Police Department.
Ausfahl walked away on her own accord again, according to Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy.
