Bellingham collision blocks traffic at Iowa and Valencia and sends one to hospital

A rollover collision reported at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Iowa at Valencia streets blocked traffic in the area and resulted in one man being taken to the hospital with injuries.

A Range Rover was driving east on Iowa Street at the time an Infinity was traveling north to south out of a private drive, according to information provided by Lt. Claudia Murphy to The Bellingham Herald in an email.

The preliminary cause of the crash was the Infinity failing to yield to cross traffic, Murphy reported, and citations likely will be issued.

Two women were in the Infinity and a man was in the Range Rover at the time of the crash, and the man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
