A Sedro Woolley man died and a juvenile was injured Thursday evening after a two-vehicle crash on State Route 11 near Burlington.

Riley C. Conard, 31, died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to a press release from the Washington State Patrol.

Conard’s 2005 Ford F250 pickup collided with another vehicle, driven by a juvenile, at State Route 11 and Pulver Road, one mile west of Burlington just after 6 p.m., the release states.

Suzanne T. Corrow, 28, and two other juveniles, of Sedro Woolley, were in Conard’s vehicle. One of the juveniles was injured and taken to Skagit Valley Hospital, according to the release.

The other vehicle, a 2008 Ford Escape, had three juveniles in it and none were injured, the release states.

Drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, according to the release.

No other identifying information about any of the juveniles or descriptions of the crash were released.

The cause of the crash and charges are under investigation, according to the release.

“Due to the severity of this collision, the detectives are taking the lead in the investigation. They will examine all aspects that lead up to the collision before determining a cause. At this point, the entire collision is under investigation and no further information is available yet,” State Patrol Trooper Heather Axtman said.
