UPDATE: Missing 88-year-old Bellingham man in King Mountain area found

UPDATE: A Facebook message to The Bellingham Herald from Bonaventure Senior Living said that the man has been located.

The Bellingham Police Department issued a community alert Wednesday afternoon asking for help locating a missing 88-year-old man who went missing in the King Mountain neighborhood.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, police are trying to find George Kubota, who was last seen leaving the Spring Creek by Bonaventure retirement center in the 200 block of East Bakerview Road heading toward Winco. The alert was posted at 1:35 p.m.

Kubota is described as an Asian man, 5-foot-6 with a slim build and balding, graying hair. He was last seen wearing black-rimmed glasses and a black and white plaid shirt.

Anyone with information about Kubota’s location is asked to call 911.
