She checked in a motel to do ‘business,’ cops say. Now she’s sitting in a jail cell

A Bellingham woman was arrested Saturday for allegedly intending to sell several grams of meth from a Bellingham motel.

Jessica Mary Knight, 27, was booked into Whatcom County Jail on suspicion of a controlled substance violation with intent to distribute and several warrants from Skagit County and Bellingham.

Sometime before 2 a.m. Sunday, an employee of the Bellingham Lodge called police to report a woman was acting strangely and hotel management wanted her to vacate her room and the premises, according to Bellingham Police Lt. Danette Beckley.

Beckley said officers found the woman, later identified as Knight, with four containers full of what later field-tested to be meth.
