Christianson’s Nursery, 360-466-3821, 15806 Best Road, Mount Vernon, is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. daily in October, changing to 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 1. Offers curbside delivery, Santa visits by appointment.

Drinking, dining

Great Blue Heron Grill at Semiahmoo Golf & Country Club, 360-371-7015, 8720 Semiahmoo Parkway, Blaine, open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Offering Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner special and Thanksgiving meal to-go.

Allied Arts of Whatcom County, 360-676-8548, 1418 Cornwall Ave., is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Gallery and thrift store open now. The 41st Annual Holiday Festival of the Arts opens Nov. 20 in online format.

Whatcom Art Mart, 360-738-8564, 1103 11th St., is open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday. Holiday hours will increase in late November. Non-profit co-op art gallery.

Treasures Unknown, 360-224-5363, 8101 Blaine Road, Blaine, is open 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. Offers thrift and consignment goods.
