Whatcom County reports two new coronavirus cases Tuesday, but no additional deaths

Two more residents have tested positive for COVID-19, but no new deaths have been reported, the Whatcom County Health Department said on Tuesday, April 21.

Whatcom’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases grew to 280, while the number of deaths remained at 27.

More than 2.5 million cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed worldwide, with more than 176,900 deaths as of Tuesday afternoon, according to Johns Hopkins University. The United States has more than 823,200 confirmed cases — the most reported cases of any nation — with at least 44,805 deaths.

Overall, the Washington State Department of Health reported 12,282 cases and 682 deaths as of Tuesday afternoon.
