Update on company layoffs across the state

Here’s an update on the latest Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications issued by the state’s Employment Security Department. This includes Mount Baker Vapor, which announced earlier this year it was moving its manufacturing facility to Arizona because it was concerned about new Washington tax regulations.

Company: Mount Baker Vapor (Bellingham) will lay off 92 employees, effective 9/15/2015. Date of Notification: 7/13/2015.

Company: Sodexo (Snohomish) will lay off 63 employees, effective 8/31/2015. Date of Notification: 6/30/2015

Company: Boeing (Puget Sound) will lay off 23 employees, effective 8/21/2015. Date of Notification: 6/22/2015

Company: Bags (Seattle) will lay off 190 employees, effective 8/14/2015. Date of Notification: 6/17/2015
