WWU students’ Kickstarter campaign raises more than $362,000

The Kickstarter campaign for Imbue is complete, now it’s time to start making more of the popular tea brewing vessels.

A total of 6,248 pledges were made for the project totaling $362,679. The vessel, designed by students at Western Washington University’s Industrial Design Program, uses magnets to keep the loose-leaf tea in a steeper when flipped over, creating an all-in-one tea brewer and drinking container. Here’s a link to the previous story with details on how it works.

The students originally hoped to get $20,000 through the campaign. Once expenses are paid, proceeds will go toward supporting the Industrial Design Program.
