Export seminar in Bellingham Feb. 4

Here’s a news release reminder about an upcoming export seminar in Bellingham on Wednesday, Feb. 4:

BELLINGHAM -- The Washington Export Outreach Team is bringing Export 101: Your Door to the World, to Bellingham, hosted by the Port of Bellingham. This full day seminar offers access to resources and wisdom to assist local businesses in their exporting efforts.

The Washington Export Outreach Team brings the combined resources of the Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington, Export-Import Bank of the U.S., Washington Small Business Development Center Export Readiness, U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Small Business Administration, Washington State Department of Agriculture, and Washington State Department of Commerce.

The seminar will open with developing an export plan and determining appropriate international markets. Followed by a panel discussion on finding qualified buyers, agents, and distributors. Later sessions will cover shipping your product, pricing and methods of payment, and financing your exports.

This seminar will take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. Cost is $65 which will include materials and lunch.
