Co-op announces Community Shopping Day recipients

The Community Food Co-op in Bellingham recently announced its recipients for its 2015 Community Shopping Day.

Through this program, local organizations will receive 2 percent of the Co-op’s sales from both stores on the third Saturday of each month. In January it went to the Bellingham Farmers Market’s Fresh Bucks EBT program; here’s the rest of the list:

Feb. 21: PeaceHealth Medical Group Pediatrics Reach Out and Read program.

March 21: United Blind of Whatcom County.

April 18: York Community Farm.

May 16: The Arc of Whatcom County.

June 20: Whatcom Skillshare Faire.

July 18: Whatcom Humane Society.

Aug. 15: Ragfinery.

Sept. 19: Jet Oldsters/Ferndale Senior Activity Center.

Oct. 17: Dorothy Place.

Nov. 21: Wild Whatcom.

Dec. 19: KAVZ-LP FM 102.5
