Ferndale cleaning facility acquired by large regional company

Coastal Industrial Services, which has a facility in Ferndale, recently merged with Ancon Marine Industrial.

Coastal provides a variety of industrial cleaning services, including large tanks. According to a news release, the company will change to the Ancon name. Ancon has nine operating divisions.

The company’s corporate office is in Rancho Dominguez, Calif. but it will have a satellite corporate office in Ferndale. The Ferndale facility is at 6065 Kickerville Road and has nearly 60 employees in the Whatcom County area. Overall Ancon has a workforce of more than 400 people.
