National clothing retailer Burlington is planning to open its new stores in Bellingham and Burlington on Friday, Sept. 26.
Both stores will have a grand opening celebration. The first 500 customers on Sept. 26 will get a free tote bag with purchase. On Saturday, Sept. 27, the celebration will include gift card giveaways and face painting.
The Bellingham store is going into the former Cost Cutter building at 4131 Meridian St. The Skagit County store will be going in at 1500 S. Burlington Blvd.
Formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, the store is known for its selection of discount apparel, including coats, as well as home products. It has more than 470 stores in 44 states.
